Video: Police attacked in Derry during Easter Rising commemoration parade

POLICE have been attacked with petrol bombs during an illegal dissident march in Derry.

The Derry 1916 Commemoration Committee march began at 2pm today and made its way from the Creggan estate to the city's cemetery.

As the PSNI moved in to the area ahead of the parade, youths could be seen attacking police landrovers with projectiles and petrol bombs.

A masked colour party took part in today's march, which followed a similar commemoration in Lurgan on Saturday in which nine men were arrested.

Six men appeared in court today to face charges connected to that parade.
