A MAN has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision between a Translink bus and a car in Donegall Street, Belfast.

Police have appealed for information about the crash which happened last night.

Sergeant Adams said: “Police received a report at 10:00pm that a red Vauxhall Corsa had collided with a Translink bus. One male was subsequently taken to hospital where his injuries are thought to be serious but not life threatening at this time.”

“I am particularly interested in anyone who has any information in relation to the whereabouts of the red Vauxhall Corsa prior to the incident to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1350 14/03/18. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
