Man charged over arson attack on clothes shop in central Belfast

A 36-year-old man is due to appear at Laganside courthouse in Belfast this morning charged in connection with the arson attack

A MAN is due in court this morning charged over an arson attack on a shop in central Belfast.

Three people were left "very badly shaken" after a man walked into Rip-Off clothing shop in Donegall Street on Friday February 23 and poured flammable liquid around before setting the premises on fire.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life and is due to appear at Laganside Magistrates Court today.

He has also been charged with possession of a class A drug.
