A 22-YEAR-OLD man charged with breaking into the home of a partially-sighted and hearing impaired pensioner has been refused bail.

Nathan Phair of Castlebalfour Park, Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh, is charged with entering the 95-year-old woman's home on August 27 last year and stealing £200.

District judge John Meehan refused bail at Dungannon Magistrates Court yesterday.

Phair was remanded in custody to appear via video-link at Fermanagh Magistrates Court on February 19.
