PRESENTER Stephen Nolan is to return to his Radio Ulster show from Monday.

The Belfast-born broadcaster has been absent from his morning radio programme for several weeks as he enjoyed time in the US.

The BBC website indicated that he last presented his popular weekday phone-in show on December 15.

Vinny Hurrell, who had stood in for Mr Nolan, tweeted last night: "I've decided to take a few days off from presenting the morning show. Thankfully - @StephenNolan has kindly offered to stand in for me, from Monday morning".

Mr Nolan tweeted on Tuesday that he had flown back to Belfast from the US and was working on his BBC television show The Top Table from yesterday.
