A man has been attacked during a burglary in the Glenavy area of Co Antrim.
Police said a man entered a house on Moira Road before midnight on Tuesday and carried out the assault.
It is understood the victim's injuries were not life-threatening.
"The intruder, who is believed to have been wearing a balaclava, fled the scene after stealing a small sum of cash and alcohol. He fled the scene on what has been described as a motorcycle," a spokesman said.
Detectives appealed for information.
