A 21-year-old man is to stand trial at Derry Crown Court accused of causing the death of his brother and cousin by dangerous driving.

Dylan McDonald, of Allen Park, Donemana, Co Tyrone, faces a total of seven charges linked to a crash on the Victoria Road, Newbuildings, on June 3, 2015.

They include causing the death by dangerous driving of McDonald's brother Michael (21) and cousin Aaron McDonald (19).

It is further alleged the defendant caused the death of the two men by being an uninsured and unlicenced driver.

McDonald is also charged with fraudulent use of a registration mark.

He was released on his own bail of £750 to appear before the court on February 6.
