THE funeral of a nurse stabbed to death on Christmas Day will be held tomorrow.

Jayne Toal Reat (43) died in the attack at a house on Mornington Lane in Lisburn early on Christmas morning.

Funeral Mass for the nurse, who had worked in Craigavon Area Hospital, will be held at St Patrick's Church in Banbridge followed by a private cremation.

Her 21-year-old daughter Charlotte Reat, who lives in Comber, was also injured in the attack, along with male victim Joseph Tweedie. Mr Tweedie is understood to be Ms Toal Reat's partner.

The nurse's family have asked mourners to wear small tokens in her favourite colours of powder blue or baby pink.

19-year-old Nathan Ward, who is Mr Tweedie's son, has already appeared in court charged with Ms Toal Reat's murder and the attempted murder of Charlotte Reat and Mr Tweedie.

The teenager appeared before Craigavon Magistrates Court on Friday of last week.

He was remanded into custody to reappear at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday, January 8.
