A TEENAGER has been left in intensive care after being attacked in Derry.

The 16-year-old boy was assaulted in the Violet Street area at around 7pm on Saturday evening.

He received head and face injuries and was last night in a stable condition in intensive care.

A 22-year-old man who was also attacked suffered a broken nose.

A 17-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm and remained in custody last night.
