A MAN in his 50s has died following a single-vehicle road crash in Co Down.

The collision happened shortly after 9.30am yesterday on the Carnreagh Road outside Castlewellan.

Police said it involved a purple Isuzu pick-up which was towing a trailer.

The road was closed for several hours.
