Three men hospitalised and a woman injured in Belfast assault

THREE men were hospitalised and a woman also injured following an assault in east Belfast.

Police said the attack happened at around 1.10am on Saturday outside commercial premises on the Upper Newtownards Road, between Earlswood Road and Eastleigh Drive.

Three men suffered injuries including a broken nose and cuts to the face and head.

The woman sustained bruising and a cut to her ear, but did not require hospital treatment.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and was later released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
