A MAN has been arrested by police investigating the murder of Charlotte Murray, who has not been seen since she was reported missing in May 2013.

The 46-year-old man was arrested in Dungannon this morning and is currently being questioned by detectives.

Charlotte (34) was originally from Omagh but had been living in the Moy area of Co Tyrone at the time of her disappearance.

Last week police searched open ground and woodland in Moy as part of their investigation.

Charlotte's twin sister Denise Murray said her “disappearance is one of the most horrific experiences we have ever faced in our lives”.

“Charlotte has missed so many family events and celebration and that constantly reminds us that Charlotte is not here with us."

Detective Chief Inspector Eamonn Corrigan said: “We continue to investigate Charlotte’s murder and I would appeal to anyone who has information to contact detectives in Gough on 101 extension 34233. Charlotte has been missing for five years and her family miss her and deserve and need to know what happened to her.”
