SHOTS have been fired at a house in the New Lodge area of north Belfast.
Police received a report at around 7.25pm on Wednesday that two shots had been fired at the front door of a property in Upper Meadow Street.
A man in his thirties was in the house at the time but was not injured. Police said he had been left shaken and described it as "a reckless act".
Detective Sergeant Kelly said: “Whilst nobody was injured as a result of this shooting it was a reckless act that could have easily resulted in death or serious injury and yet another example of how criminal groups seek to control communities through fear and violence."
