A 19-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with blackmail, making threats to kill and making threats to damage property.

The arrest is not thought to be linked to UVF threats against Catholic families in Cantrell Close, off Ravenhill Avenue in the city.

The teenager was arrested in east Belfast under the Terrorism Act last night and was questioned at Musgrave PSNI station.

He is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates court this morning.

The arrest was made by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force.
