THE funeral is due to take place tomorrow of a young mother who died in a "tragic accident" at her Co Antrim home.

Sinéad Stewart, who was pregnant with her second child, passed away in Ballycastle on Tuesday. The mother-of-one, who friends described as "one in a million", is understood to have suffered a fall.

It had previously been reported she had suffered an asthma attack or had died in a house fire. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) said it attended the scene following a "call to a report of a chip pan fire".

But police said her death was "not being treated as suspicious". The PSNI said officers attended the scene of a sudden death on Tuesday at around 5.30pm.

Tributes have been paid to Ms Stewart, who was aged in her 20s, with many describing her as a "lovely woman and mother".

Requiem Mass for Ms Stewart will be celebrated tomorrow at St Patrick's and St Brigid’s Church, Ballycastle at 10am followed by interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Ms Stewart is survived by her husband Ali, daughter Saoirse and family circle.
