A MAN has narrowly escaped injury following a petrol bomb attack on a house in Co Armagh.

The attacked happened shortly after midnight yesterday in the Alexander Avenue area when a brick was used to smash the front window of the house before a petrol bomb was thrown in.

Police said the petrol bomb ignited the living room, however a man in the house was quickly able to put out the fire.

"A number of men, dressed in dark clothing, were seen leaving the area on foot following the incident," police said.
