Children rescued in dinghies off Co Down coast

TEN children who were swept out to sea in two dinghies were rescued off the Co Down coast last night.

The children, five in each dinghy, got into difficulties off Ballyholme beach shortly before 5pm.

An RNLI spokeswoman said lifeboat crews from Donaghadee and Bangor helped escort the two dinghies back to shore.
