Police have appealed for information following reports of burglaries in east Belfast

POLICE have appealed for information following a number of burglaries in east Belfast yesterday.

It is believed a house in the Ardmore Avenue area was entered sometime between 11am and 2.30pm and a sum of cash was taken.

Police also received a report of a burglary at a house in Cairnburn Gardens area. It is believed the house was entered sometime between 2:45 pm and 6pm. A quantity of jewellery was taken.

At approximately 6.30pm, police received a report of a third burglary at a property on Belmont Road, however, it was reported that nothing was taken.
