Brian McIlhagga: Two men arrested over 2015 murder

TWO men arrested by police investigating the murder of Brian McIlhagga two years ago have been released without charge.

The 42-year-old father-of-five from Ballymena was beaten and shot by a gang of masked men who dragged him from a house at Riverview Park in Ballymoney, Co Antrim, on January 5 2015.

The two men, aged 45 and 41, were arrested in north Antrim on Tuesday but were later released.

Police carried out two searches and seized several items.

The pair were also questioned about a paramilitary-style shooting in Ballymoney in March 2015.
