Two held over attempted murder of PSNI officer in north Belfast

POLICE investigating the attempted murder of a PSNI officer at a filling station in Belfast have arrested two men.

The men, aged 18 and 33, are being questioned over an attack on Sunday January 22 in which a police officer was shot twice in the arm in a drive-by shooting at a filling station on the Crumlin Road.

The arrests took place this morning in west Belfast and the men have been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station for questioning.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them by phoning 101.
