A CO Down primary school choir are set to compete in live semi-final of Britain's Got Talent afer it was confirmed during this evening's show that they have made it through to the live programme on Monday night.

St Patrick’s Junior Choir, from Drumgreenagh near Rathfriland have been placed by bookies as being among the favourites ahead of Monday's programme.

The choir includes children between the ages of 8 and 12 who attend the small school which has 80 pupils in total.

Principal Sorcha Lyness said: "We're just like any other primary school; we teach a range of subjects, chiuldren come from different backgrounds but we have somwthing very special that makes us a little bit different."

St Patrick's Junior Choir will next appear on the first Britain's Got Talent semi-final show on UTV on Monday May 29 at 7.30pm.
