A NEIGHBOUR of murder victim Marcell 'Junior' Seeley has told a jury that the man accused of the killing arrived at his door drunk and said he had punched the deceased.

Gerard Burn was giving evidence during the second day of a murder trial at Belfast Crown Court yesterday.

Mark Daniel Ward (25), from Drumellan Gardens in Craigavon, is charged with murdering Mr Seeley in or around October 11, 2015.

The 34-year-old father-of-four was found dead in his Dingwell Park flat in Lurgan on October 13, 2015.

Mr Burn said that Ward had been "very drunk" when he called at his flat on the morning of October 11, asked for a taxi, then fell asleep on his sofa.

He claimed Ward said he had "hit someone a couple of jabs ... two lefts and a right".

He said Ward told him he had hit Mr Seeley and asked if blood came out of someone's ear, did that mean they were dead.

Mr Burn later denied suggestions from Ward's barrister that he and his partner had been in Mr Seeley's flat on the evening of October 10.

At hearing.
