Mother and children flee after arson attack at Crumlin home

A family have escaped injury after an arson attack at their Crumlin home

A WOMAN and her three children have escaped injury after an arson attack at their Co Antrim home.

The 35-year-old woman and her children, aged 15, 11 and 6, were sleeping when the house in Ballydonaghy Meadows in Crumlin was targeted at around 4.35am yesterday.

When the woman went downstairs, she saw smoke and flames and broken glass at the front door. She then fled with her children.

Police said no-one was injured in the attack but the front door was badly damaged.

Officers appealed to anyone with information to contact them.
