Elderly man taken to hospital after east Belfast crash

AN elderly man was taken to hospital after he was knocked down in east Belfast yesterday afternoon.

The pedestrian was hit on the Albertbridge Road at about 3.30pm.

He was later taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Roads were closed at Woodstock link, Mountpottinger, Short Strand and East Bridge Street following the crash.

Police have appealed to anyone with information to contact them.
