A MAN has died in a road accident in Warrenpoint, Co Down, police have confirmed.
The man was a pedestrian on the Rostrevor Road when the accident occurred this morning.
SDLP assembly member Sinead Bradley said the community was "in shock".
"The beauty of the area along the Shore Road from Warrenpoint to Rostrevor attracts an endless stream of walkers all year around, but particularly during spells of good weather," she said.
"I extend my heartfelt sympathies to the family and loved ones of the deceased."
