DETECTIVES investigating the murder of pizza delivery driver Kieran McManus in west Belfast four years ago have released new CCTV footage of the car his attackers used.

The 26-year-old father-of-one, originally from Turf Lodge in west Belfast, died after being shot outside a Domino's pizza outlet at the DC Enterprise Centre on Kennedy Way on March 30 2013.

The CCTV footage showed a maroon Vauxhall Astra reversing into a lane at the side of Carpetland and waiting for around 25 minutes until Mr McManus walked towards his silver Volkswagen Passat to make a pizza delivery at around 11.20pm.

Mr McManus was shot by a man who got out of the Astra. Shortly after the murder, the car was found burnt out in Denewood Park off the Andersonstown Road.

Mr McManus died in hospital a short time after the attack. Dissident group the Continuity IRA later admitted it carried out the shooting.

Police have now appealed for any new information about the Astra.

Detective Chief Inspector Justyn Galloway said Mr McManus's family deserve to see those responsible for the killing brought to justice.

"I appreciate the CCTV images are of poor quality but I am hoping that seeing the car reversing into the alleyway will jog the memories of anyone in the car park that night or anyone who witnessed it parked in the lane," he said.

"It also shows the gunmen pulling up behind Kieran's car and shooting him at close range before driving off."

He added: "We have a clear picture of what happened to Kieran but we need to know about the movements of the car prior to the shooting, who was in it and where it was kept in the days leading up to the murder."

He said the Astra was stolen from Banbridge Leisure Centre on September 24, 2012.

"Detectives are also keen to hear from anyone who saw any other vehicles in Denewood Park or in nearby St Meryl Park that Saturday night between 11pm and midnight," he said.

Mr Galloway said although several people have come forward others with information have not yet contacted police.

Mr McManus's mother, Sally said the pain of his murder "is still very much with me, more so because his killers have not yet been brought to court".

"I know there are people who know who killed Kieran and I urge them to please pass this information any way they can to police so that those responsible can be brought to justice," she said.
