A Co Tyrone woman has been congratulated by county GAA stars and serenaded by Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams to celebrate her 100th birthday.

Eskra woman Cassie Kelly enjoyed a party attended by over 320 guests in Kelly's Inn, Garvaghy on Saturday night.

There were double celebrations as her son Brian, who has the same birthday, marked his 70th in a night to remember for the family.

Well-wishers included Tyrone GAA manager Mickey Harte and players Aidan McCrory, Peter Harte and Cathal McShane, while tributes from politicians included an online video from Sinn Féin's Barry McElduff, Michelle Gildernew and Mr Adams - the latter singing Happy Birthday in Irish.
