SOME 400 companies and organisations have been paid £27 million in subsidies from the botched RHI scheme since it began in 2012.

THE top claimant is Co Tyrone poultry business Paul Hobson Ltd which has received £659,000, followed by Eglinton (Timber Products) which is based outside Derry and is Ireland's biggest producer of wooden pallets. It has been paid £538,885 in subsidies.

No wrongdoing is alleged against any business or organisation involved. 

In total 33 companies have received more than £200,000 - and collectively they have been paid around £10.5m.
