A MASKED man shot a man and a woman yesterday at a house in Coleraine, Co Derry.

The shooting happened at James Street at about 7.15pm.

The man entered the property and shot a man aged in his twenties in the leg, and a woman in her fifties in the foot.

Police said their injuries were not life-threatening.

Officers appealed for anyone with information to contact police.

Sinn Féin's Caoimhe Archibald said: "There can be no justification for such actions and whoever is responsible needs be held to account."
