A woman working in a north Belfast off-licence was threatened by a masked man during a robbery in north Belfast on Saturday night.

He was one of two men wearing snoods with their jacket hoods pulled up over their heads who robbed the Antrim Road business around 8.30pm.

Police say that after buying an item, one of the men asked for something else and pulled a knife on the woman as she opened the till.

As he lunged towards the woman, jabbing the knife in her direction, the other robber stole money and receipts from the till.

Both were challenged by a male member of staff as they made off towards the door. But one of the robbers again produced the knife again to threaten the staff and they made off on foot.

While the staff were not injured during the robbery, they were left very badly shaken.

Detective Sergeant McPhillips would appealed for witnesses to ring 101, quoting reference 1280 04/02/17.
