A MAN will appear in court on Monday charged in connection with an incident at a west Belfast health centre that saw windows smashed and a doctor verbally abused.

The 34-year-old man has been charged with two counts of criminal damage, two counts of disorderly behaviour and two counts of assault on police.

The surgery at the Whiterock Road medical centre was busy with patients on Friday afternoon when the incident took place. The suspect was arrested later that evening.

As is normal procedure, all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
