A 22-YEAR-OLD woman has told how she was left shaken after her car was hijacked by two teenagers in Co Antrim.

The woman was pulled from the vehicle in High Street in Larne at around 10.25pm on Friday.

One of the men dragged the woman out, while another got into the passenger side.

The car, a blue Audi A4, was then driven off in the direction of Inver Road.

The woman said she was "so angry and upset" but relieved that her children weren't in the car at the time.

In a post on the PSNI's Facebook page, she wrote: "Definitely a night I don't want to remember, unfortunately I have to remember this, car was found burnt out.

"What satisfaction they got from this is beyond me - now I'm without a car and I have three young children who depend on me getting them to school. Selfish low life scum wouldn't even describe the two men who done this to me!!"

Police said the two carjackers were believed to be in their late teens, both of slim build and wearing dark hooded tops and scarves over their faces.

Junior minister and DUP East Antrim MLA Alastair Ross said it was a "truly shocking incident".

Sergeant John Hamilton appealed for anyone with information to contact officers in Larne on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
