Seven passengers escaped injury after a Translink goldline coach caught fire in Co Armagh this morning.

The Ulsterbus, which was travelling from Dungannon to Belfast reportedly caught fire near the Loughview Park and Ride facility in Lurgan shortly before 8am.

Translink said it was an engine fire and it was currently investigating the cause.

A spokeswoman said:

“All safety procedures were put in place. No one was injured and the driver and the seven passengers were all taken off the bus safely and transferred onto another bus to complete their journey.

“Emergency services attended the scene and have extinguished the fire."
