CANNABIS worth £190,000 has been seized following the search of two houses in south Belfast yesterday.

A 39-year-old man was arrested following the searches.

The seizure came as ecstasy tablets and drug paraphernalia were discovered in Co Derry yesterday.

Seven properties in the Heights and Greenmount areas of Coleraine were searched. Another property was searched in Articlave, Co Derry.

Scales, plastic bags, mobile phones, computers and three vehicles were among the items seized.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man has been charged after Class A drugs worth £20,000 were found in Annaghview Court in Portadown on Wednesday evening.

The man is to appear before Craigavon Magistrate's Court on October 5 charged with offences including possession of a class A controlled drug.

A 32-year-old woman who was also arrested was released on police bail pending further enquiries.
