Twelve compete for Ireland Strongest man title at Belfast Titanic

TWELVE strongmen flexed their muscles and heaved and pushed on the final day of the IVECO Ireland Strongest Man 2016 which was held in Belfast.

They were battling for the title as well as adoration as crowds lined up  to watch them flip over huge tyres or bench-pressing 150kg logs as if they were twigs.

Other feats of strength included arm over arm truck pull over 90 seconds over hurling Stones of Strength up to a weight of 160kg.

The competition was run over several sites - Belfast Titanic and Belfast City Hall.

Organiser Glenn Ross said: "People's muscles will be on fire for this Rudridge Ultimate Strongman Weekend".
