A MAN in his thirties has died in a workplace incident in Co Armagh.

The man died at a business in Lurgan this morning.

Police attended the scene in Queen's Place and the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland has begun an investigation.

An HSENI spokeswoman said: "Our sympathies and thoughts are with the bereaved family at this very difficult time."

Carla Lockhart, DUP assembly member for Upper Bann, said: "My sincere sympathies are with the family of the young man.

"I knew him and his family well and was speaking to him only a few days ago. I pray that God will sustain them through the difficult weeks and months ahead."

Ms Lockhart said the accident had happened at a "very well-respected family business".
