Maire Drumm murder to be investigated for police collusion by Ombudsman

CLAIMS of police collusion in the 1976 murder of Sinn Fein vice president M?aire Drumm are to be investigated by the Police Ombudsman.



A prominent republican, the 56-year-old mother-of-five was shot in her bed at the Mater Hospital in Belfast while recovering from an eye operation.



The murder was carried out in a joint UVF/UDA operation.
