'Substantial' cash and cocaine recovered in police car search

FOUR men were arrested and a 'substantial' sum of money and some cocaine was discovered in a stop and search of their car.

The men are aged 34, 36, 37 and 4 and were travelling in a Citroen Berlingo when it was stopped around 2.45pm along the Tully Road, Crumlin on Friday.

They were arrested by detectives from PSNI Reactive and Organised Crime Branch on suspicion of possessing criminal property.

The 37 year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A controlled drug.

Detective Inspector Keith Gawley appealed for further information and added: “  Follow up searches in the Belfast area uncovered a quantity of suspected herbal cannabis valued at around £1000. The men remain in custody at this time.”
