Northern Ireland captain Steven Davis gets sweet send-off from Morelli's Ice Cream

IF captaining Northern Ireland in the Euro's wasn't enough for  Steven Davis, the Ballymena-born footballer has just received a sweet send-off ahead of Sunday's game against Poland.

With the help of Morelli’s Ice Cream, the pupils of Davis's former primary school Buick Memorial in Ballymena have created a mosaic of his face in ice-cream sprinkles.

It's estimated that some 40.2 million green and white sprinkles and 75,000 smarties have been used to create the stunning portrait of the Southhamption midfielder.

And the pupils and Morelli's are hoping that their hero and the Northern Ireland team will enjoy the sweet taste of success in the tournament held in France.
