A MAN in his twenties was hit in the face with a bottle following a fight at a pub in Belfast city centre.

The attack happened in the courtyard of the Dirty Onion on Hill Street at around 11.30pm on Sunday.

The man suffered severe cuts to his face in the assault.

Police appealed for information.
