Man (21) dies following Carryduff crash

The PSNI have appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them

A 21-year-old man has died in hospital several hours after a crash in Co Down.

Scott McNeill was injured in the two-car crash on Ballynahinch Road in Carryduff at about 9pm yesterday.

He died in hospital from his injuries.

He was the father of a young son and lived in Dromara, Co Down.

Police appealed to anyone who saw the collision to contact them.

Several friends paid tribute to him on social media yesterday.

One friend wrote: "Can't believe you're gone, in such shock. You will never be forgotten! You'll be in our hearts forever and will be missed dearly, heaven has gained another angel, you'll be racing up in heaven".

A close female friend said she was stunned by his death.

"You really don't know what's around the corner, I actually can't get my head around it. Scott McNeill you will be truly missed by everyone who knew you, my sweet angel - gone but never forgotten. I love you sleep tight until wee meet again pet."
