COULD convicted drugs mule Michaella McCollum go from inmate to housemate and take part in Celebrity Big Brother?

Paddy Power seems to think so.

The bookmakers have today started taking bets on the Co Tyrone woman entering the Big Brother house following her release from prison in Peru last week.

The 23-year-old from Dungannon was granted parole on Thursday after serving more than two years behind bars.

McCollum and Melissa Reid from Glasgow were caught with 11kg (24lb) of cocaine in their luggage at Lima airport in August 2013.

There are currently odds of 7/1 for her taking part in the celebrity version of the Big brother reality show, while odds of 10/1 are also available on her appearing on Come Dine With Me.

Further down in the betting is I'm a Celebrity and The Jump, which are both 16/1 shots while it's 50/1 for her to compete in Strictly Come Dancing.

Paddy Power are also taking bets on who will play McCollum if a film was made based on her capture and time spent in jail in Peru.

Actress Saoirse Ronan is the 8/1 favourite with Brie Larson and Alicia Vikander considered her closest rivals at 10/1.

Paddy Power said: "Michaella has gone from slammer to glamour following her release and we very much doubt that we've seen the last of her on our screens."
