Women shaken after cash and drugs robbery in north Belfast

PRESCRIPTION drugs and cash have been stolen during a burglary in north Belfast.

The items were taken after a woman found two men in the kitchen of her Downview Mews home at around 8.30am on Saturday.

Police said after pushing the woman to the side the men made off with money from her purse and drugs known as Gabbapenten.

Although not injured, the woman was left shaken.

Detective Inspector Joanne Harris said: "I would ask the public if they are offered any medicines from an unregulated source to report it to the police. It cannot be stressed enough that, taking this medication, without being prescribed them by a doctor, may put your health or life at risk."
