A 33-year-old man has been charged with the murder of 48-year-old Anthony McErlain in Ballycastle and is due to appear in Coleraine magistrates court today.
A 50-year-old man remains in police custody after being arrested on Friday.
The body of Mr McErlain, a father-a-two, was discovered after police were called to a house in the Broombeg View area at around 8.30pm on Thursday.
Murder squad officers believe an altercation or disturbance may have taken place at the house in the hours leading up to the victim’s death.
The senior investigating officer said Mr McErlain “suffered a traumatic and frightening death”.
