A 36-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman are being questioned by police following a £30,000 cocaine seizure in Co Down.

The pair were arrested for possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply after police stopped and searched a vehicle on Dromore Road, Hillsborough shortly after 7pm on Monday.

Detective Inspector Alan Pyper said: "We hope this sends out a clear message to any person who considers becoming involved in the illegal sale or use of drugs. We are committed to removing illegal drugs from our streets."
