Five weapons linked to 25 killings in Mid Ulster

Investigations carried out by solicitors and campaign groups have revealed links between five guns and 25 murders in the Mid Ulster area.

Most of the killings were carried out in Counties Armagh and Tyrone in the early 1990s, with the victims ranging in age from 16 to 76.

A picture of how the UVF operated at the time began to emerge after solicitors at KRW Law poured over dozens of HET reports and other materials in a bid to establish a ‘modus operandi’.

The victims include:

March 3 1991, Boyle's Bar Cappagh - John Quinn (23), Dwayne O'Donnell (17), Malcolm Nugent (20), Thomas Armstrong (52)
