A MAN who died in a house fire has been named locally as 57-year-old John Brazil.

The Fire Service was called to a blaze at Drumgay Close in the Cornagrade area of Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, at around 8.30am on December 4.

It is understood the fire took hold in an upstairs bedroom where Mr Brazil's body was discovered.

Sinn Fein councillor Debbie Coyle said everybody in the town is "shocked" at the tragedy.

"He was always around the town and always very friendly, a good laugh and good craic. He was just a lovely fella," she said.

The cause of the blaze is not thought to be suspicious.
