TWO men have been arrested in connection with the murder of 32-year-old Gediminas Stauskas in Coalisland last month.

The men were arrested in Co Tyrone - a 27 year old was arrested in Dungannon and a 41 year old was arrested in Coalisland.

Detective Chief Inspector Lee McNevison said: “The suspects have been arrested as part of the overall investigation on suspicion of assisting an offender and withholding information. They are being interviewed at Dungannon police station.”

Last week a 34-year-old man was remanded in custody charged with the murder of Mr Stauskas whose body was found in a garage at Moor Road on October 15.

Darius Sikorskas, of no fixed abode, was charged with murder at Enniskillen Magistrates Court as well as with attempted murder, kidnapping and possessing a handgun in connection with two shootings in September in Newry.

He is also accused of supplying cocaine and amphetamines.

No bail application was made and he was remanded into custody to appear by video link at Dungannon Magistrates Court on November 18.
