Malone Road in Belfast to close for resurfacing work

Marie Louise McConville

TRAFFIC restrictions will be in place along the Malone Road in south Belfast in the coming months to allow carriageway and footway resurfacing to take place.

The work, which will begin on Monday, will take place between Piney Hills and Stranmillis Road. The project is expected to last around six weeks.

Initially the scheme will involve footway works which will be undertaken using off-peak lane closures.

Full road closures will take place during four weekends in October and November, to allow carriageway resurfacing.

Closures will take place on October 17/18, October 24/25, November 7/8 and November 14/15.

Road users are advised that delays are expected and additional time should be allowed for journeys.
