RESIDENTS have been urged to be cautious after claims an explosive device has been left in Derry's Leafair Park, close to the Glengalliagh Road.

Police have searched the area and "nothing untoward has been found at this stage", a spokesman said

"Enquiries are underway and, in the meantime, police are advising local residents to be vigilant and to report any suspicious objects or activity.

“If you do see something that is out of place or arouses your suspicions, do not touch it,” Inspector Tony Moore said.
